Amazing property with a beautiful ocean view. It is close to bus stops to get to other towns (though the SITA bus can be a pain in the butt) and some small local shops where you can snacks, drinks, wine, souvenirs etc. Conveniently located between Amalfi & Positano yet peacefully away from the madness and business of those towns. It was such a huge plus not to have to climb any stairs at all to get to the hotel unlike many other accommodations in the coast. Trust me, you will appreciate this. It takes a good 20 min walk to get to the main part of town and the closest beach with no real pedestrian side walks (normal for Amalfi Coast) but it wasn’t an issue for us! We highly enjoyed many variety and beautiful local produces provided for the complimentary breakfast (absolutely one of the best spread we have had) and of course the view with it. Coffee made to order was an incredible bonus! All staff we encountered worked hard and lovely to interact with. We dined at the restaurant one dinner as well which was lovely. Highly recommended! Thank you for the beautiful 4 nights stay.

I cannot say enough good things about Open Gate! Everyone was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty (offering eggs and meats for those wanting a more American-style meal). The rooms felt spacious and beachy. The property is at an ideal location very walkable to the free beach as well as the Il Pirata beach club. We were able to park our scooters in the lot, but found the buses (2 lines, both with stops within a 6 min walk from the property) more convenient than. The team was quickly responsive over Expedia chat even months before my booking, and someone was available at the desk virtually all day. The bar area also appeared to be staffed at near all hours of the day. Praiano was stunning and great to escape the chaos of the busier towns

Open Gate provides tremendous value for money. Located along the road in Praiano, its rooms and restaurant have a gorgeous view of the Amalfi coast. The staff could not have been nicer, and were extremely helpful in assisting us with a last-minute booking for a coastal cruise. We found Praiano much less crowded - and much more enjoyable - than Positano and Amalfi; both are easily accessible by water taxi or public bus. But Praiano has its own charm and excellent restaurants, including Open Gate’s.
