Whilst the property was beautiful, and the onsen was immaculately clean, I felt that the resort could have done a lot more to create a more welcoming environment with more varied dining and drinking options. There was one restaurant and there were no afternoon tea or beverages served in the otherwise lovely lobby space. It felt very bare and slightly unwelcoming. The staff, whilst some were friendly, were for the most part quite cold and did not go the extra mile to provide for a warm and hospitable stay!

We had an exceptional stay from the moment we were warmly welcomed at check-in until our seamless departure. The hospitality was impeccable, and the thoughtful welcome drinks were a lovely touch rarely experienced in Japan hotels.
The room was beautifully spacious, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable. My son especially loved enjoying his own onsen experience in the bathtub, which made our stay even more memorable. The refillable water provided by the hotel was another thoughtful convenience that we truly appreciated.
The frequent shuttle service to Karuizawa train station added great ease to our travels and enhanced the overall experience. A truly wonderful stay that exceeded expectations — we look forward to returning again.

Fantastic stay and world class staff who go above and beyond. Loved the onsen, good gym and overall amenities. I travel a lot across APAC and Japan and this ranks as one of my favorite hotels.
