Charming ambience and great customer service made this pricey stay worthwhile for a Janeite and her husband.
Check in was very pleasant and easy, with staff carrying our suitcases to the top floor room and down (upon checkout).
The rooms were large and comfortable. The shower had a door, not always a given for showers in the UK.
I would have liked faster service at breakfast time, as we'd already eaten before our menu order was taken.
The free snacks and drinks in our room was a nice perk.
All in all, I wish we'd had more time to stay there to enjoy the first edition novels in the snuggery. One night was not enough.
