The rooms with fan only can get a little warm depending on sun trajectory. Although I could feel the boards of the bed through the mattress lying on my side, the rooms are well maintained and beds made every day. The facilities are good. There is a tiny kitchen, dining space, hammock, tv, outdoor and lounge area, as well as 2 computers and wifi. Breakfast included juice, coffee, bread, cheese, jams, doce de leite, a selection of fruits, and cake. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for visiting the Pelourinho. The best nights are Monday to Wednesday when they have kiosks in the nearby Praca.

Staff at the hostel are helpful and will help you get info to see the local sights. Salvador is a very nice city and as a female traveler, I felt safe in the Pelourinho area because there were police everywhere.
