Very unique location on the side of the Flåm to Myrdal railway line, with its own station! Quiet apart from the squeal of the trains. Beautiful setting and views.

The hotel is in a unique location, which is part of its appeal, but does make it difficult to get to when there are issues with the train, which happened with us. The breakfast and dinner were good, but dinner was a little expensive, although that is to be expected because of the remote location and it being the only option around. The hotel was a little dated and worn, and blackout curtains, or at least darker curtains, are needed during the long summer daylight hours. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable, except for the lack of darker curtains. The area surrounding the hotel is beautiful.
