Very cute. Good location, amenities in the room were lacking.., but there was no shower in our room. The staff could have communicated better. And when we booked it we didn’t completely understand that the breakfast was only Japanese, was very limiting to us. But that’s not really their fault. The futon/beds were incredibly comfortable even magical. The location is perfect in Gion. So easy to go out and walk around. Very reasonably priced for a ryokan I. Kyoto.

This is a very traditional hotel. If you want to stay here and fully immerse yourself in Kyoto, I highly recommend it! Great accommodation, helpful staff, and very good facilities!
