I loved The Fort, it had enough amenities to match its style, what a beautiful property, if you love history you will love the Fort, the staff are lovely, so friendly, so helpful, the surrounding shops are full of lovely people too. The 4 poster bed I had was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in, they don't make them like that anymore. The food was so tasty too, Im going to go back thats for sure! Excellent value for money too, i thought they were joking when I got my bill :D

I loved The Fort, it had enough amenities to match its style, what a beautiful property, if you love history you will love the Fort, the staff are lovely, so friendly, so helpful, the surrounding shops are full of lovely people too. The 4 poster bed I had was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in, they don't make them like that anymore. The food was so tasty too, Im going to go back thats for sure! The Fort is located about 11kms from the city of Chandigarh. As you enter the huge door, you immediately feel you're in an old palace. It is well maintained with some enjoyable gardens. My room was stunning, furnished with heavy wood antique pieces. I had a huge bed which I climbed on with the aid of a foot stool. The bathroom was spacious with a lot of marble and original brass fittings. I had a television, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The restaurant was quite small but pleasantly decorated. The meals were included in the deal ( just as well considering how far it was from the city ) and the food was excellent. The staff were very attentive ( it is, I believe a place used for training young people in the hotel business ) , helpful and kind. The only downside was the closure of the swimming pool and the gym. By the look at the sign, it might have been closed for a while. Better check this before you go.
