Buddy Hotel

The centre of Munich is not cheap and not always well maintained, so all things considered, I think Buddy Hotel is a clean and modern, good value option, comparitively, and I would probably stay there again. There is a self check-in screen, so no reception, and you can't actually get in the front door without a key or without calling, so a bit of a pain. For me, the touch screen was really clunky and I spent about 15 minutes trying to get through it, after an all-night bus ride, before the screen suddenly went to another app and everything was lost, and I had to call someone down, anyway. Once they restarted the app, it worked better, though. The room was tiny, but with windows, (one opening), and a view down to the street. It was very clean and modern, and the bed was comfortable, and the shower was good, though the water leaked out on to the main floor a bit. The wifi was fine, but sometimes it just wouldn't accept me and wouldn't let me have two devices, so slightly annoying for someone expecting to do a lot of work. Zero TV channels in English. I was veru comfortable and the place was very convenient to the centre or main station, but I resolved to move for the last few nights, simply because of the no-reception thing and I knew I'd need a little baggage storage time, and maybe I could get a more reliable wi-fi option. I'd stay again, though.

Snacks to go came in handy. Great air conditioning, clean room.

The hotel is very small, but I liked the free snacks and that I was able to do everything independently. The only thing that I didn’t like is that there’s a lack of instructions for checking in and checking out. We could have had more peace of mind with more knowledge beforehand because it’s not super clear

The hotel was amazing after we figured out how to check in! We had another guest help us. The dark shades were awesome for sleeping and we loved how you could open the windows to get fresh air. The room was beautifully spaced out.
