- the book cafe was unique and its coffee was delicious. did not get to try their food options but i have no doubt they would be good given that they were always sold out.

I absolutely loved my stay at Lamp Light Books Hotel in Sapporo over the past two and a half weeks! The room was cozy and clean, the staff was incredibly helpful, and the cafe was a perfect spot to get some work done in the mornings. I was also thrilled that they had 3 combo washer/dryer machines in the hotel, however my clothes smelled a bit soiled after washing so I’m wondering if the staff needs to add more detergent in them. Regardless, the location was perfect and I really enjoyed my time in Sapporo!

My husband and I booked Lamp Light Books Hotel Sapporo as part of our stay in Sapporo as part of our honeymoon trip. Unfortunately because of the snow storm, our flight from Tokyo to Sapporo was cancelled. Thankfully the staff at Lamp Light Books Hotel were very understanding and accomodating and offered to refund our booking. We will definitely book next time we are back in Sapporo. Thank you!

Awful awful awful. Nothing positive to say about my stay. Very gimmicky. I heard great things about this hotel but was sorely disappointed during my stay. The room’s AC unit was installed backwards, meaning all the air was blowing into the bathroom. It was difficult to keep the room a comfortable temperature. The staff were miserable. Had an awful experience when I used their washing machine. Put my clothes in, the timer said 60 minutes for the wash cycle, I’d have to manually do the dry cycle afterwards. That was enough time to run to the close convenience store for a drink and lunch. Came back 64 minutes later and my clothes were gone, a note on the EMPTY washing machine that my clothes were removed because someone else wanted to use the machine. I understand I was late but FOUR MINUTES?! My clothes were tossed in a trash bag left on the counter for everyone to see my personal items. How embarrassing. The staff didn’t even want to give me my clothes because “they couldn’t prove they were mine” and wanted to begin laying out each article. What the f***?!?! In a public cafe setting, you want me to display my wet underwear for all to see?! I grabbed the bag with my wet clothes and went directly to my room What a genuinely horrifying experience. I would never ever recommend such a scummy place to anyone.
