The location is great. The personal is very friendly and helpful. The options for Ticino pass and bicycles are included is beneficial.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at Garni Golf. Our room was especially large and the bathroom was a good size with a window giving additional daylight. The A/C in the room was perfect for the heat wave. The owners have gone to the effort of providing some thoughtful extras in the room, such as a bag containing beach towels. This was completely unexpected despite us planning a visit to the local lido. The little courtyard was lovely to have breakfast in. The location is perfect; just a few steps away from the waterfront and many restaurants. Although the hotel is located in the car free zone, it is only a few minutes walk away from the local bus stop or car drop off. The only thing I would note is that the owners/staff do not speak much English, although hotel information is available in English. This wasn't so much of a problem for us during our stay as we were able to get what we needed either in English or using my basic German. I would definitely return to Garni Golf should I ever go back to Ascona.
