The hotel is as expected, basic and simple. Selling point is of course the location, which was excellent.
Stay was mostly fine, the only complaint is that the bedding smelled funky and wasn't as clean as one would expect. No matter how budget friendly, this is not it!
Other than that, the staff were friendly and helpful.

The location of Hotel Van Gelder was perfect. We could walk to the sites we wanted to see and also meet friends at clubs. And the train station was very close.
