Fantastic stay. Staff was amazing and super helpful in every way, right down to transfers and directions. Breakfast was a bountiful selection of fruits and pastries and by far the best continental breakfastIi have experienced. Dont be fooled by the entrance to the place (the main building is a little run down but it looks like they are renovating some of it). the place is not just clean, but absolutely spotless. View off the sea view rooms is incredible. Cannot recommend this place enough it is a definite must if coming to cruise or Rome for that matter, only a 40 min train ride and no crowds. If more stars were available a 15/5 for sure!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Memorable Stay at La Casa Sul Mare
Our two-night stay at La Casa Sul Mare was one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Italy. Perfectly situated in the heart of Civitavecchia, this charming family-run B&B combines comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality in a way that makes guests feel instantly at home.
Owner Loris was exceptional from the moment we made our reservation. He seamlessly arranged airport transfers, cruise port transportation, restaurant bookings, and provided thoughtful local recommendations that enhanced our visit. Warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive, he goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has a wonderful experience and is always available to help.
We stayed in the largest of the five rooms, which featured a private bathroom with a double vanity, daily housekeeping, and a balcony with a partial ocean view. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find a small bottle of champagne, snacks, and a well-stocked refrigerator waiting for us.
A heartfelt thank you to Ambra, who prepared a delicious continental breakfast each morning. It was the perfect way to begin each day and added to the welcoming atmosphere of the property.
One especially memorable touch was the homemade pistachio pie baked by Loris’s mother—an absolute treat and something guests should not miss.
For anyone seeking a welcoming place to stay before or after a cruise, I highly recommend La Casa Sul Mare.

Magnificent view. Wonderful hosts. Spotless room. Delicious breakfast and wonderful company. Loris is an extremely accommodating and kind host. Ambra was also so helpful and friendly!

This b&b is a gem…if you’re like me and wary of booking something unknown, do not hesitate…this b&b is an apartment transformed into a homey, lovely, welcoming home. It is equipped with everything you need - don’t need converters, hair dryers or curling irons…they have it all - fully stocked kitchen is open to guests as if they were in their own home…Loris and Amara are beyond helpful - they arranged pick up at the airport as well as transport to the port - and the city is worth roaming around - read about it before you come…you won’t be disappointed !
