I can't in good conscience recommend Great Northern. My friends and I booked one of the chalets for a bday weekend girls trip, partly because of the amenities it listed, only to discover upon arriving that the gas fireplace we were looking forward to hanging out in front of during chilly evenings was "out of order" and apparently had been for years. I asked the staff about the potential to get it working & they said it wasn't possible. When I asked why the chalet was falsely advertised (even on their own website) as including the fireplace, no one could provide an answer. They also refused to offer any sort of discount for the misinformation and reduced amenities. Then, we arrived back at our chalet the second night after a long day of hiking and exploring the park. We were excited for showers, only to find that the water heater was broken. We got in touch w mgmt, who said there was nothing they could do until the next day. Again, no refund issued for the trouble. In addition, there was bird poop COVERING the upstairs balcony, which clearly hadn't been cleaned in months. The wifi didn't reliably work, and some of the fixtures were missing switches, making them inoperable. Overall, just a big disappointment and expensive for what we got. I'd recommend staying elsewhere.

We stayed in the lodge and loved it. It was cozy and very cute. The staff at check in was very friendly. When we walked to lodge there were treat bags waiting for us. They contained snacks that can be taken on your hike. The location of the property to the West entrance of Glacier National Park was great. We would stay again.

We stayed in the lodge. It was very clean and very quiet. Staff left nice notes in the room that made us feel welcome. The snack bags left in the lobby were nice. The resort was very close to the west entrance of GNP. Unfortunately GNP flooded while we were there, so we left a day early. But if we ever make the very long drive back, we'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean and plenty of parking. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There are no amenities with the location, at minimum, would be nice to offer a coffee station besides the instant coffees in the room. The hiking snack bags were awesome and much appreciated!
