The rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff are outstanding, especially at the bar, and therapists in the spa (massage therapist Arlene). My reason for 4 star instead of 5 is that there is a dampness and musty smell in the rooms (not in the main areas). This is likely from the extreme heat, combined with carpeted interiors. I experienced this in the two rooms we occupied (May 17-19 and May 23-27).

Always my favorite place to stay. I live in New York and visited Manila twice in the last month, stayed at the Fairmont both times because it is consistently excellent (outstanding staff, clean, great food, many great amenities)
