Such a lovely guesthouse - very quiet and calm. The main hotel is a 1 minute walk away and we picked up the keys from them. There was no-one around at the time, but they gave us instructions on how to access the reception and where to pick up our key via WhatsApp. The guesthouse was very clean. The decor had an almost Scandinavian feel and felt very calm and peaceful, There is a secluded garden at the back with chairs and tables which looked very nice and peaceful. We didn’t use that as we had our own terrace. We were in Room 7. It was spacious and very well appointed. Everything was very clean. The bed was very big and very comfortable. There was air con - which we didn’t use as we could open the large windows and terrace door to get a nice through breeze. The bathroom was big with a separate bath and large walk in shower.
Parking was easy - there are two free car parks 3 and 5 minutes walk away. There is paid parking on the street right in front of the guesthouse. We didn’t park there - but we were able to pause there to load and unload the car.
Poperinge is a fairly small, quiet town and you are staying right in the centre, so there are several restaurants is easy walking distance. Plus a small, but well stocked, supermarket less than 1 min walk away. There is a a small mini fridge in the room.
Breakfast is in the main hotel. We didn’t take that, but the dining area looks nice and breakfast buffet looked good.
