We had an unusual visit to Hotel Golden Park, Curitiba, Brazil, in the way that we stayed in the standard rooms for one night, and then the rooftop duplo on the next night, because of a booking mix up on our end. We enjoyed our stay very much, found the staff to be very helpful as we don't speak Portuguese but they spoke English, and had a fun time. Downsides were the shower in one of our rooms didn't have hot water, and the basic room is what you would expect - quite basic, but you get what you pay for. Nothing to complain about for the cheap price. Staying in the rooftop duplo though, I would very highly recommend. You get two floors and a spa bath and a rooftop barbecue, and our only regret is that we only booked one night's stay there. It was fantastic for the price.
