I have stayed at the Lucerne multiple times now and each time has been enjoyable!
The rooms are clean, spacious and the hotel has great character. The food is pretty solid and the value is amazing.

This was a spectacular beautiful historic Inn built in 1818 with the most beautiful view of the mountains and Phillips lake from our window and it has a beautiful fine dining with the best food I had over all in Bangor! The Mother’s Day brunch was to die for! We definately look forward to staying here again on our next visit! As a historical place I had to learn how to use the shower sprayer, but after the 1st time it was no problem. The staff was super friendly and be sure and ask them about Nathan the old caretaker who murdered his wife and her lover in room 8 then committed suicide in room 5! I highly recommend this place! Just keep in mind during the winter months and downtime season the dinningroom and bar area are closed on Monday and Tuesdays.
