This is my second time staying at this motel. Everything was great, check in went smoothly and quickly. The shower head is made for someone taller (I'm not that thin and felt like I had to run around in the shower to get wet) but otherwise the amenities were good for a motel. For some reason the road noise seemed really loud this time--might recommend bringing earplugs. Other than that, I'd definitely stay here again.

Basic hotel price is reasonable and the room was clean. I could hear the road but given it's proximity to 5 and Capitol it's to be expected.

The Capitol Hill Motel comes at my highest recommendation. Peter, the fourth-generation owner of this business, is a warm and thoughtful steward of the brand his family created over 50 years ago. He continues what his family built a half-century ago: an honest business built on service, courtesy, and accommodation. The rooms are clean and spacious, the parking is free and safe, and they have one of the most beautiful neon signs in all of Portland. What's not to love? Save yourself some time and book with The Capitol Hill Motel. You'll be glad you did.
