The apartment was pleasant and surprisingly quiet, considering that there were windows that opened on Rue Monge. The apartment would not be suited for someone with mobility challenges. For one, while there is an elevator, one must walk up some steps before reaching it. Secondly, inside the apartment, the floor has been raised in the middle of the apartment to accommodate the plumbing for the bathroom and WC. As a consequence, one must always be ready to step up or down.The other concern we had was that on the very first night there, while watching a dialogue-focused movie at a volume setting of 15 of 100, we received both a text message and a phone call from the host, advising us that someone had filed a noise complaint and that we should immediately refrain from making such a ruckus.My response to the text was to encourage the host to spend some of their sizable earnings from the rental of this self-described luxury apartment on sound insulation. Really, this incident colored our week-long stay there, making us feel like we were in elementary school being watched by scolding nuns.Overall, it was a good enough place with great location, as long as you're adept at the ups and downs of the floor, and maybe it's Lent and you've taken a vow of silence.

Beautiful property with phenomenal location at the beginning of Rue Mouffetard. The apartment was small for 5 people but beautifully organized. They also had a portable AC unit and fans which was good as we were there in a heat wave. Rue Mouffetard is quintessentially Paris, with beautiful cafes, restaurants, small shops and more. We walked up to the Pantheon, Jardin du Luxembourg and Notre Dame. The apartment is on the first floor and our windows opened out to the hubbub of the cafe and people walking by. It was wonderful. You truly felt like a part of Paris.
