We enjoyed the “Honeymoon Suite”, and the smoked salmon chowder for dinner.

Really rough accommodations, the front door didn’t even close all of the way. We were woken up at 1:00 am by a fight in the bar next door, with one of the people yelling that he was going to go grab his gun. Would not recommend staying here unless the price is very low.

Always enjoy our stays at Gwin’s. Excellent and hardworking staff, perfect location, with all the amenities for individual and group travel. Will be back!

If I had the option to give it a zero I would. The check in was fine. It swiftly went downhill from there. We had selected cabin 5, upon entering the room we were immediately hit with a horrendous odor similar to a porta potty overdue for emptying. We attempted to open the windows but they don't open. The handyman approached and asked if the room smelled bad. We said, it's awful. He said the septic line broke in the adjoining cabin and he'd been mucking out 3 feet of excrement all day. He said go back to the office and they'll give you another room. We were given cabin 3 this time which is larger though in poor condition. Broken window blinds, one curtain missing entirely, spiders in the bathroom, everything very worn. Questionable cleanliness. One full size bed downstairs, full size not queen. Two twin beds in a loft with a non fixed ladder. Unknowingly I took the first shower and the hot water ran out before I was finished leaving my husband with no options. Even the next morning the water was barely tepid. We left very early the next morning having stayed less than 12 hours. This place is a dump. An expensive dump!

Plenty of space in the unit we stayed in. The place is older but very clean and comfortable. Extra towels available for our group. Plenty of places for fishing nearby and their freezer space was convenient. Will be back in the future.
