Lovely spot in Hout Bay. Connected to nature

It is a lovely spot with beautiful gardens, privacy and a BBQ area. You feel very connected to nature. The dogs are lovely, the internet is fast and the view is to die for! The kitchen is very handy to cook your own food.

No TV in the room, on a cold miserable night a movie would have been good to watch

Exceptional

It was very peaceful and relaxing, the water flowing from the river makes one appreciate the nature. Will definitely stay over in future when visiting Cape Town. Highly recommend this for the whole family.

Only the loadshedding was a problem in the evening and early morning.

Adequate faculties but poor service

The accomodation was adequate with braai area and spacious gardens

No serviced reception area to assist with issues. we were created by the manager / owner who left with his family for the weekend. Our units electricity tripped and Ben at the property tried his best to repair it however after returning from our evening out around 11pm we had no electricity with a note offering to move us and to please only get as app his number. we opted to sleep and contact him in the morning as it was late. In the morning we tried to contact the number listed for the property - no answer - we what’s apped Ben - no answer. The complaint from our side is that with a property with a number of units there should be someone there to assist or be able to call to assist. The property is in the hospitality industry however there is no real service ethic and this should be addressed. There should be a number with an accessible , competent staff member to assist the guests immediately. They are in the hospitality industry?

Beautiful accommodation near Hout Bay - highly recommend

Waterland Lodge is a lovely place to stay. I was only there one night but could have stayed a week! The gardens are beautiful, the host very welcoming and helpful, the room was excellent - private, comfortable, quiet and had everything I needed. Plenty of space for kids if you have them with you. Good wifi. Great location.

Nothing to not like. Everything was great.

The views and comfortable bed. The cottage was cosy and well equipped.

Loadshedding impacted the ability to warm meals and have coffee.. Maybe a gas stove could make the stay more comfortable?

Nurturing

we loved staying at Waterland Lodge. It is so peaceful and everyone was really friendly and accommodating. The facilities are great and the pool area is beautifully taken care of as well as the surrounding nature.

the inconvenience of previous guests smoking in the room, although the staff did their best to assist.

Amazing for nature lovers !

Gorgeous place for nature lovers ! Nestled between rocky mountains in the middle of a green oasis, the location is stunning. Big park and play ground for kids inside the premises. Pool also and deck overlooking the river. The bedroom is big and cosy, very quiet and relaxing night. It has all the necessary in the kitchen to stay for one week ! We felt home, the owner are super friendly ! thanks a lot ! Lot of hikes and trails around the lodge :)

Breakfast as an option payable would be a real plus

Waterland wonderland

Amazing location with beautiful grounds hidden along a river in Hout Bay, the room is quaint and cozy with everything you need for a short or longer stay. I booked for two nights but had to leave earlier than planned and the owners graciously agreed to refund the second night or let me use the credit in future for another stay. Thanks again :)

The communication was slow at times.
