Great location and a lovely apartment

A lovely apartment with everything you need in a great location close to the Green Bazaar, shops & restaurants and metro / buses. Host was also help store our bags after check out which made a big difference to our remaining day

Terrible Experience.

This apartment is hosted by a private woman who is extremely short‑tempered, angry, and abusive. She harassed us and insisted that we pay for our entire 4‑day stay only in cash. She communicated with me for 15 days prior to our scheduled check‑in date, yet not once did she mention that she required the entire amount of 3 lakh Tenge in cash. Normally, no one carries such a huge amount of cash for safety reasons, and everywhere we have travelled - in Kazakhstan or any other part of the world - we have always made payments by credit card. I offered to pay part in cash and part by credit card, but she refused to accept this. In her fit of anger, she even called the police. Unfortunately, I found the police also favouring their own citizen. We showed the police our booking details and her apartment listing, clearly demonstrating that nowhere in the documents was it stated that payment had to be made in cash. The police accepted this fact, yet still sided with her. We somehow managed to arrange the cash by withdrawing and borrowing from our friends, but the entire experience caused us immense distress and pain due to her behaviour and the ill‑treatment we received. I would strongly advise avoiding this apartment.

Good stay in almaty

Right on arbat street, centrally located apartment in an old building. But, the interior is as described. Communication was good.

There were sheets drying in the balcony(not ours) making it unusable.

Right on arbat street, centrally located apartment in an old building. But, the interior is as described. Communication was good.

There were sheets drying in the balcony(not ours) making it unusable.
