Location was perfect for my visit to friends living out in the country. The host had provided milk/tea/coffee/breakfast pack, which was thoughtful and took pressure off having to hunt for the nearest shop. The annex has been well designed and adequately fitted out, so was good as a base. The bed was comfortable, which is important. Had everything anyone could expect for a short stay.
I found it a bit chilly but didn't discover the wall heater until the morning. I'd read a review about underfloor heating in the bathroom, but it didn't appear to be on. The bathroom tap was so forceful that it tended to whoosh over the basin, giving me an unexpected dowsing each time I used it. The shower looked wonderful but I could only persuade it to deliver tepid water - this may have been my fault as there was lovely hot water in the kitchen, but I had no luck with the shower tap. The small shower head was in need of a descale. The toilet seat was not the right size/shape for the toilet, so it was loose and slipping to one side.
