Avoid this provider: despite paying in full for a 7-day stay, we were locked out for 2 days with no response, had to pay
We booked and paid in full for a 7-day stay for five people through Booking.com. Unfortunately, this was the worst accommodation experience we have ever had.
When we arrived, we were unable to access the property because Larihome never sent us the code for the key. For two full days, we repeatedly tried to contact them via WhatsApp and phone calls, but received no response. As a result, we had to find and pay for alternative accommodation just to have somewhere to sleep.
On the third day, we finally managed to get hold of someone. We were told that the Larihome phone had “exploded,” which was supposedly why none of our messages had been answered. Strangely, the representative was contacting us from the exact same phone number that had allegedly stopped working.
The representative acknowledged the problem and promised that we would be refunded for the two days we were unable to access the property. Despite repeated follow-ups, we have still not received the promised refund. Communication since then has been disappointing. Responses have been rude and dismissive, and we have been told that it makes no difference whether we contact Booking.com or leave a review.
We travel frequently and use Booking.com regularly. This is the first time we have encountered a provider who failed to provide access to a fully prepaid property and then failed to honour a promised refund.
We can only review our experience, and based on that experience, we would not recommend booking with this provider (Larihome ).
No heating at all. Incredibly cold. Electrics went off it took them a day to get back to us to tell us where to find a key and box to switch it back on. You drive up a mountain up a very narrow road to a very remote spot to find the house.
