We stayed as a couple with our 1-year-old son at Canaya Boutique Villa. The accommodation is beautifully located in lush greenery, surrounded by plants and trees. If you want to head into Galle town center, you can easily arrange a tuk-tuk via Uber or PickMe, and you'll be there within 15 minutes.
The hospitality of the owner and staff is top-notch. They really go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible and were always happy to help with any extra requests.
The room was very spacious. Since you are surrounded by nature, there are some insects, but the mosquito net around the bed keeps you well protected.
We also took a great trip to Madu Ganga Lake. The owner was kind enough to drive us there himself and even spent the entire morning with us; it was lovely to see how great he was with our little boy.
We read quite a few other reviews here on Booking that made us doubt if they were accurate, as the people here are incredibly friendly. Of course, it’s important to align your expectations with the price you pay, but for us, the value for money was excellent. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting the Galle area!

La gentillesse du personnel, des grandes chambres.
Nous avons loué 5 chambres. Deux climatisées, le reste non.
Transats sales, dommage. Piscine trouble. Manque de serviette.

Ausserhalb der Stadt im Grünen. Ruhig, ideal um abzuschalten! Viele Tiere rund ums Areal, ein Highlight zum beobachten.
Schlafzimmer mit AC, Tee und Kaffee zum selber machen im Apartement. Sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeber, hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich!
Im Badezimmer fehlten die Fenster. Apartement wirkt kalt durch den vielen Beton und dunklen Farben. Pool wirkte nicht sauber, trübes Wasser.

Chambres très grandes.
Très isolé et difficile à trouver, et rien autour pour dîner.
Tuktuk absolument nécessaire…quand ils trouvent l’hôtel !
Sur l’amabilité du personnel, le minimum nécessaire.
Petit dej basique et très moyen (comparativement aux autres établissements dans lesquels nous avons séjourné au Sri Lanka)
Une impression de pas fini… pas de fenêtre dans la salle de bain, pas d’eau chaude.
La piscine ne semblait pas très clean
