The apartment was extremely clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The washing machine looked brand new and there were lots of little amenities that went a long way: laundry pods, nibbles and drinks in the fridge, washing up liquid, etc. The AC was also cold and effective.
It was well positioned to explore Istria and Slovenia and even Plitvice Lakes but everything was at minimum an hour drive.

We recently spent a wonderful five days in an apartment in Brešca village, near Opatija, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable for our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids). It's located in a quiet, serene area surrounded by a lush green yard — a real escape from the busy tourist zones.
The apartment had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and free parking, making it ideal for a longer stay or traveling with kids. We especially appreciated the balcony, which was perfect for drying laundry on the provided clothes rack.
The location is fantastic for exploring the region. It's very close to the turnpike, giving you quick access to Rijeka, Opatija, Slovenia, Italy, and more. We enjoyed easy day trips to the beautiful town of Fužine, where we cycled around the scenic Bajer Lake, and to Učka Nature Park, which also offers excellent forest cycling routes and stunning views.
Another bonus — Venice is only about a 2.5-hour drive away, which makes for an unforgettable day trip.
The host and her entire family were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help, and the host even runs a hair salon in the same building if you need a trim during your stay.
All in all, this was a 5-star stay at a very affordable price, especially compared to accommodations along the Opatija Riviera. Highly recommended for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a peaceful yet well-connected base in northwestern Croatia.
