Well renewed nice medieval building just in the entrance of the city center. Ideal for 4 people, max 6 with two sleeping in the sitting room. (Air conditioning must be used in summer.) Loved the location of Motovun, lovely small town approx. 30 min away from the coast. Busy in the evenings and can be noisy but if windows.closed it is not disturbing. The price value ratio was quite good. Self check-in and check-out. The apartment is well equipped, ironing board, hairdryer, tv, oven, electric kettle, dolce gusto caffee machine, big fridge with freezer, dishwaser.
I should mention that there are 2 airconditioners, 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs. The the one upstairs was not functioning but luckily we could cool.down the appartment in the evenings (because it was cold enough). In really.hot summer days this would not be possible. The host - despite her promise - did not showed.up to check it and get it repaired. One strange thing that I had to ask for the self check in instructions in the evening altough I was told it was to be sent me on the day of arrival. But after contacting the host it was sent me right away (only it was strange that it was not sent me automatically)

Die Lage ist super! Das Haus ist sehr einfach mit dem Auto erreichbar, was in Motovun nicht selbstverständlich ist. Parkmöglichkeiten befinden sich in der Nähe. Die Besitzerin und ihr Sohn waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist sehr schön ausgestattet und gemütlich – perfekt für Familien oder zu zweit. Zudem ist es hundefreundlich!
Stellenweise hätte die Sauberkeit ein bisschen besser sein können, aber es war nichts Gravierendes. Zudem war es im Bad (im April) etwas kalt. Die Besitzer haben uns jedoch zusätzlich einen Elektro-Heizkörper bereitgestellt, womit es dann deutlich besser war.

The location of the house is great - easy walk up the hill to all the Motovun has to offer. It is spacious with a semi-open plan kitchen/living room on the ground floor and an extra WC. Upstairs are 2 good sized bedrooms and a large bathroom with washing machine. There is also a very small (but hard to access) roof terrace not mentioned in the listing. The air conditioning worked well on the ground floor. The house was quiet, and accepted dogs without additional charges.
The house is in urgent need of some repairs to make it fit for purpose: the wifi did not work or connect (despite being re-set multiple times), the kitchen tap is literally hanging off the sink, only 1 or 2 of the burners on the gas hob would light. Upstairs the air conditioning unit (strangely located on the landing) did nothing much to cool the bedrooms, the bathroom had a foul smell, the shower was hanging loose, the shower did not drain well and the shower curtain was very dirty. Though essentials were provided, oddly there was no toilet paper or soap in the house on arrival. I raised most of the issues (hoping for a solution!) via the messaging function of Booking.com and only got a response on the 5th and final night simply saying 'sorry I didn't see your message' which I think is completely unacceptable. With some basic maintenance (wifi, kitchen tap, gas hob, shower, upstairs air conditioning) this could be a great 'budget' place to stay in Motovun (overall it is quite dated inside, but that can easily be forgiven for the right price) - but in its current condition, it is not recommended or fit for purpose.
