The cabins were clean and modern yet had traditional tatami and futon beds. The sauna and hot spring furo and cold water furo were excellent.
The location was far from restaurants and convenience stores.

We had a really pleasant stay overall. The sauna was very easy to use and worked perfectly, which made it a great way to relax after walking around all day. The bathroom and toilet were both clean and well maintained throughout our stay. I also really loved the atmosphere of the room, it felt very cozy and aesthetically pleasing.
The hotel did a great job with the small details as well. Things like tea bags and hygiene kits were restocked daily and we received fresh towels and sheets every day.
The staff were also very helpful during our stay. They assisted us by checking whether we could get a taxi in Bungo-Ogi, which we really appreciated!
One of the downsides was the check-in time being limited to before 7 pm, which can still be inconvenient for some travelers. Maybe there could be an automated system for later check-ins?
The pillows were also not very comfortable and unfortunately left my neck feeling sore. Additionally, the lighting around the bathroom mirror was not ideal. It made shaving or doing makeup a bit difficult. This could likely be improved with something like an additional light or a removable mirror

La description était mauvaise - nous avons été placés en chambre fumeur initialement alors que la description sur booking indique un établissement non fumeur. Le personnel a réagit positivement en nous changeant de chambre contre un surplus de prix
