Our stay at Araya Totoan was truly the highlight of our entire trip to Japan. From the moment you arrive until the very last minute of your stay, the staff go above and beyond to make every detail feel personal, thoughtful, and luxurious. The rooms were beautifully elegant, the private bath was an absolute treat, and the outdoor onsen was genuinely life-changing. The entire experience was unforgettable, and we couldn’t recommend Araya Totoan more highly!

One minor criticism is those of us that slept on the Japanese-style beds were not as comfortable. For one or two nights it’s completely fine.

Our room was beautiful and super comfortable. The onsen experience is amazing. We loved our stay.

The facilities are smaller than the pictures show - it’s all lovely but quite small. Food was not great. The vegetarian dinner did not meet expectations or match the price paid. Breakfast was okay.
