Basic, delightful accommodation in the mountains near Chiang Rai / Doi Chiang. Friendly staff, clean and comfy beds, the local food selection for dinner was delicious. The traditional rice porridge for breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Good for an overnight stay.

The staff were very accommodating and changed our room at very short notice. The breakfast was excellent and so to was the coffee.
It’s a lovely setting but it feels like the grounds have been neglected. Gardens are overgrown, weeds are everywhere, and even the signs are so weathered they’re difficult to read. A little extra care and attention would make such a big difference. Having run a rural hospitality business myself, I know how much work is involved in keeping outdoor areas tidy, but it’s also the small details that guests really notice. During our visit we saw several staff on their phones while simple jobs around the property were left undone, which didn’t give the best impression. This place has so much potential if more focus was given to maintaining the grounds.
