Garden Suite: Wonderful spacious room to relax in. Large comfortable bed. Giant high-quality TV - impressive! Roomy bathroom, very nice shower. Super-quiet location tucked away a stones throw from West Hoe Park, Smeaton's Tower and more. Just six mins by taxi from train station. Greeted by very nice host Anita. I only needed the one night but wanted a change from the routine of Premier Inn or other central hotels, and this place fit the bill. Would be great for a longer stay, great for couples as well I'd say. Had a good burger for supper in the nearby Waterside Inn. The nearby Pier One Restaurant opens at 7.30am (I believe), making it good option for breakfast potentially (though I didn't try it). Highly recommend this stay.
One thing I suggest for all places with smart TV: set up guest accounts for streaming channels maybe so guests don't have to use personal logins. And another tip: supply an HDMI cable for those us like me who like to connect laptops to TVs and stream that way (I forgot to bring his this time!)

We arrived at 3pm, we rang the boor bell and were warmly greeted by the lovely owner Anita, we were shown to our room and it was great, the room was bright and the furniture and fittings complemented the room, very well presented. There were biscuit's, plenty of tea/coffee, in the fridge there was fresh milk and water for us. Anita chatted about the work her and Rob had carried out on the property, her passion, the décor and the detail of the room shone through. They have certainly put their heart and sole into the business, the room we had was worth far more than we paid.
To be honest we loved it all, there was nothing we could not like. Well done to Anita and Rob.
