Casa Versus Ohrid

Casa Versus ligt op een perfecte locatie en voorzien van alle faciliteiten die je nodig hebt voor een fijn verblijf.

Very friendly staff, spacious room and comfortable bed. Location was close to the old town, walkable to a variety of restaurants, cafes and the lake itself.

Staying here felt less like being at a hotel and more like visiting dear friends! We genuinely want to come back to Ohrid just to stay here again. A huge, heartfelt thank you to our wonderful host and the amazing housekeeper — you both made our stay so special, comfortable, and memorable! The rooms are spotless and incredibly comfy, with great air conditioning and thoughtfully designed lighting. The bed is huge and super comfortable, and the shower is spacious. We also loved how well-thought-out the common areas are. Having the coffee machine and everything needed for a cup of tea right at the reception was such a lovely touch (and thank you so much for the guidebooks, by the way, they were a life-saver!). Plus, the two outdoor seating areas are just perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Thank you for everything, and we hope to see you again soon!

The location was good, just opposite the old town. It was clean.

The good reviews for this place can't have been for the Budget Double Room. I checked the size before I booked, it said 16sqm which seems fine, I've stayed in 11 and 12sqm in Europe. Well, they must have been using the orange man's tape measure, because there's no way this shoebox was 16. Not even close. The only place to open my bag was on the bed. Overall, I could have lasted here 1 night but no way I could spend 3 nights in there, so I paid alot less and stayed somewhere better. Adding to which there were no directions as to how to get in when you arrive at the property - the front of the building is something else. And when I did find the door, there was just noone there at all. When I phoned they said oh well you said when you booked (MONTHS ago) that you'd be arriving 2 hours later than this. God forbid plans change at all in the space of 3 months. It would have been handy to know there would be noone present except at the exact time I specified. I guess I incorrectly assumed this was a hotel, it isn't, just some rooms. Having said all of that - having now visited Ohrid I think the ONLY place to stay for a first timer is up on the hill inside the old town with a lake view. Learn from my mistakes people, you will not regret that.
