My daughter and I loved everything about this place. First and foremost our lovely host Rita was extremely helpful. She gave us a lot of tips of where to eat, which places to see (in Faro and in the region). We checked out most of them- they’re great. She has welcomed us personally with complimentary Portuguese pastries (which were delicious!). Additionally we forgot our coin purse at the apartment, and she was so kind to send it back to us very quickly. The apartment has a beautiful and neat interior, has a fully equipped kitchenette (so if you feel like making dinner at home from the food purchased at the local fish market - another great recommendation by Rita, you can definitely do so) and there’s a fully stocked laundry room. There’s plenty of towels, beach towels and even a beach umbrella (a regular umbrella can be found as well). The small terrace outside was a great spot to relax after a long day and has shade almost throughout the whole day. We loved the outside shower too -what a gem! If you’re unlucky with the weather, there’s a couple of board games, books and Netflix to keep you occupied. 100% recommend!

We were greeted at the apartment by the lovely attentive host Rita. On entering the property we were very pleasantly surprised with how spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated it was.
The house is small but perfectly designed and equipped, with everything in perfect condition. The outdoor space and laundry room are a welcome bonus. The photos do not do it justice.
Rita is the perfect host. Friendly, accessible and very helpful, with attention to detail. She even provided a bowl of fruit, bottle of wine and 2 pastèis de nata as a welcome gift.
Rita’s house is located in a quiet street approximately a 10 minute walk from the centre of Faro and the train/bus station.
I would 100% recommend Casa Melro to anyone staying in Faro, and would definitely stay again.
