I've decided to stay there because of the excellent rating on google maps.
I was curious why I haven't found this diamond on booking and then I saw the rating and some of the comments and honestly, I was quite shocked.
Maybe it's because I'm simply not so demanding (long term traveller) like others.
Yes, the mattress is hard (just as almost every mattress l've slept on in Vietnam).
It makes me sad to see people give a bad or mediocre review without adding details - that just negatively affects these people's businesses.
The staircase is a little bit steep, but nothing to worry about - I walked it with slippers and 2 backpacks (>20kg).
So, let's talk about the outstanding experience:
First of all, I stayed 5 nights in total, so no overnight experience.
Their hospitality and kindness are outrageous!
She even let me sleep in her room because all of her rooms were booked due to the new year.
People can come and go whenever they feel like.
She prepares the rooms in a few minutes so you can move in smoothly before you're back from buying a smoothie.
You have a shared welcoming terrace on both floors with a sea view.
The rooms are spacious (big enough for two people and not cramped with a private bathroom for around 300K, wonderful!
The family run Homestay is a few minutes walk away from the sea and about ten minutes to the beach.
My experience was so positive that I had to clarify some things, so people won't miss this lovely place due to some unbelievable reviews.
I've checked out another Homestay nearby (rating >9 on booking), owner was grumpy, the room tiny, no private bathroom, no terrace, no sea view and the staircase is almost 90 degrees => same price...
I had a wonderful time with wonderful people ❤️

• Die Lage ist sehr praktisch: Der Hafen, von dem die Fähren nach Phú Quý abfahren und ankommen, ist in nur etwa 3 Gehminuten erreichbar.
• Der Gemeinschaftsbalkon war gemütlich.
• Die Besitzerin war freundlich und nett.
• Die Unterkunft liegt nicht direkt an einem klassischen Badestrand. Die Küste wird von einer Betonmauer bzw. einem Wellenbrecher geprägt, was den Strand wenig attraktiv macht.
• Das Meerwasser war zu trüb, sodass Baden nicht besonders einladend war.
• Die Ausstattung der Unterkunft ist sehr minimalistisch – sowohl bei Möbeln als auch bei Handtüchern und der allgemeinen Einrichtung sollte man keine hohen Erwartungen haben.
• Generell lag in der Umgebung leider viel Plastikmüll herum, was den Gesamteindruck deutlich beeinträchtigt hat.
