clean & well appointed like a modern inner city apartment...
I ticked box about it possibly being romantic if your idea of romance would be to stay in privacy in a dark timeless but comfortable space cut off from the outside world.
Like a modern inner city apartment: a dark cave with little natural light. Had to have lights on even in the middle of the day. Maybe some folk might like that but I didn't come to Bali to be so cut off from nature.
I was seduced by photos of a bed facing a big window with lush greenery. Unfortunately only apartment A has that big window, the others are concrete boxes. The lush garden pictured is basically a walk through courtyard with entrances to the 3 apartments. Nowhere to sit outside except concrete bench by door to take shoes off. The views from inside apartment C were of concrete walls & lonely palm tree trunk in an enclosed light well. The only place I could see sky was through skylight above shower. Have attached photos. Although comfortable I actually found it quite depressing & was relieved to leave.
Also: email from Booking.com with entry information (key code etc) came 3 hours after my arrival. Luckily guests in apartment A were home, heard my distressed banging on the gate & gave me direct number to owner who sorted me out.
