A really nice 2* hotel near the beachfront (you can see the beach from the balcony), and only a 10-15 min walk from the bus station. Many excellent fish restaurants nearby.
Decent breakfast.
It's a little dated, but it's a comfortable 2* hotel and is very good value for money.

Well equipped with no skimping on basic necessities. Very clean. Interesting decor, well thought out and very comfortable apartment. Bonus was the thoughtful 'welcome' pack.
Heavy weight duvets, not really appropriate for time of year or very warm weather (summer 2026). Could do with enclosed area for dog.

This has to be one if not the best apartment ive stayed in. Super clean and super friendly. Everything is as pictured. You do not need to bring one cooking utensil everything is here (not that I cooked lol)
Nothing within the apartment. But I was disappointed with the food at the ostrich inn. There is another pub down the road called The Butchers, excellent food.

Cathedral View makes a lovely base for exploring the Forest of Dean. It's in a charming very quiet village and the apartment is beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. The host was very helpful and easy to contact.
