We had a wonderful stay at Sheila’s Cottage in Bowness in the Lake District and couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy our break. The cottage was lovely, cosy and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It was in a beautiful location and made a perfect base for exploring the stunning Lake District. Our host, Diane, was absolutely lovely — friendly, helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. She kept in touch during our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel really well looked after. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sheila’s Cottage and would happily return. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming cottage in the Lake District. ❤️

We honestly didn’t have any negative feedback about our stay — everything was lovely and we were very happy with the cottage. If we were to suggest one small addition, a toilet brush in the main bathroom would be useful. Other than that, we really couldn’t fault anything and had a wonderful stay.

Great location however a little noisy...I guess it was world cup and very hot so all windows opened. The house was lovely and everything we needed was there for us

It was very clean

Beds were awful, really bad had back issues since, lounge was incredibly small, tv needed in the kitchen
