We had a fantastic two night stay as a family of four celebrating our little boys birthday. The cottage is magical and such good value! Large open living room with a log burner and views into the countryside. I loved watching the birds in the garden. The dining room has a piano! And the kitchen has everything you need including an air fryer. The beds were so comfortable and the central heating kept us cosy all night. We packed lots into two nights: a visit to Stump Cross Caverns, Stockeld Park and Mother Shipton’s Cave. We walked behind the cottage to the river, and also to the play area and community shop. My five year olds review… ‘I give it 100 hearts’

Lovely period cottage, cosy and well equipped. Lovely location for a country retreat with the dog.
