We stayed at this caravan as a family of 2 adults, 1 child, and 2 dogs (all correctly declared on our booking). The caravan itself was lovely, we had the best time, and we initially agreed we would happily book it again.
On our 4+ hour drive home, we received messages complaining that we used dog crates and that there was dog hair left behind. This was a designated pet-friendly caravan. We used crates specifically to prevent any damage when leaving the dogs, and we cleaned up the hair to the very best of our abilities. In all fairness, the creates left deep imprints on their flooring which we had not noticed. Which we were later told would need to be replaced.
The host, Paul, became incredibly rude and abrupt in his messages. When we stopped responding due to his tone, Sarah messaged me directly via my phone number. We openly communicated to Sarah that we could not pay a requested £50 cleaning fee until we got paid at the end of July. While Sarah initially agreed to this timeline, we were then subjected to constant harassment to pay sooner. I was threatened multiple times with being reported to Booking.com simply because I couldn't reply instantly due to working night shifts. Which I explained to Sarah.
We paid the fee the second we received our wages. However, the extreme stress and lack of empathy from the hosts mean we will never book here again. We will find alternative, truly pet-friendly accommodation in the future.

It's more homely than the haven caravans. Nicely picked decor. Could maybe do with some extra pillows on the beds. Probably best laid out caravan I've been in and I've been in loads.
Would love to come and stay again but don't know if I can leave my wee doggy behind. The park is lovely and small. Feels safe.
