Absolutely everything about Villa Searender. The villa is spacious, immaculate and uniquely decorated in a way that feels truly Kenyan. It felt more like a stylish private home than a holiday rental and offered a lovely balance of luxury and authentic Kenyan character – which we loved. All rooms are en suite and immaculate, with comfortable beds and high-quality bedding. The bedrooms are air-conditioned, while the large multiple bi-folding doors open the living areas beautifully to the ocean breeze. Outdoor dining and terrace areas were particularly pleasant, and the whole property felt peaceful and private. It was exceptionally well-suited for a family, with plenty of space for everyone and a safe environment for the children. The general level of cleanliness and attention to detail throughout was outstanding.
Our housekeeper Kulola was sensational – thoughtful, efficient and a real delight. Security were excellent: professional, respectful of our privacy and always ready with helpful support. The large pool was a huge hit with both the children and the adults. There is a backup generator available and the Wi-Fi was excellent throughout.
Located at the top end of Diani Beach Road, the beach is just a short walk away via two convenient pedestrian accesses across the road. The beach itself is stunning, offering calming swimming at low tide and fun in the waves at high tide. Everything is easily accessible on foot, by tuk-tuk or taxi, with great restaurants nearby and reliable places to book activities and excursions. The kitchen was very well stocked for self-catering, and our host went above and beyond by arranging shopping to greet us on arrival
after a long flight. They also checked on us during our stay and were delightful and helpful, though we never needed to contact them as everything was so well organised and of such high quality.
