Property is immaculate, a great spot for a quiet celebration of a special occasion.
Very comfortable, & very well provisioned.
Everything we could want was available.
Very little not to like about Powers Retreat Holiday House.
Only items lacking were in the ensuite, lacking towel racks/rails, & shelf for bathroom items in the shower.

The location was close to Chrismont for our family celebration.The views around the house.The beds were comfortable.Plenty of crockery and cutlery.The property manager was pleasant and responded quickly.Sally explained the inside was her responsibility, the owners the outside presentation, theirs.A plus was we had wood left for pit fire outside.Great for our oodle dog to be with us .
The back sliding door kept falling off so we left it off.The very basic BBQ, with no cover was filthy on arrival..It took 3/4 hour to scrap surface burnt meat and grease build up and bird droppings off, We then washed and oiled plate and burnt off more layers The TV had no data to be recharged and when asked for recharge it was done but still did not work ( we had a tech savvy male, still no luck) the air-conditioner would not work, we needed heating .We changed batteries in remote, still did not work.No way to manually work it,no instructions that we could find.There were no tea towels,lucky I brought one.Their were unclean cleaning cloths and dish cleaners left and areas on floor unclean and with family of moths nesting amongst the orange seat pillows,left lying in a bundle on the floor together with several dead flies.There was blackberriey bushes that scratched the car near the carport. The outside furniture was covered in dust and bird droppings.I think no one had cleaned inside the hoyse for awhile either or if they did was cursory. There was only 7 white dining chairs for setting to accomodate 8.and we had 8 staying on Saturday night. The cook top would not spark to light and no other means to light it.No hand lighter or matches By this stage not happy, so little thigs grated, the shampoo left behind branded as lux, in ensuite I swear was watered down.Don't have it at all!..If you are going to present a home for paying guests do it well. Don't go settling for "that will do, they won't notice" Lastly the septic tank outside remained beeping since we arrived.Not sure whether that meant I'm full.. empty me?"Hate to see spillage occur or backlog into house.It may have been another reason for that?
