We had a wonder stay at the Chateau Des Monts during the D Day festivities. The chateau was so peaceful and charming, and the hosts were so warm and friendly. This is one of our top memories of our trip to France.

We got a 2 joined rooms with 3 king beds. One was a queen size and the other two were full size. The beds were so hard, you may as well sleep on the wood floor. One bathroom had a tiny shower and the other room had no shower, just a tub. You cannot walk anywhere so taxi is needed to go to town at about 20 euros each way. The breakfast was nothing special. The rugs were a hazard and would slip on the wood floor. The towels seemed to be 50 yrs old. The bed sheets were ok. There is no a/c, fans, or screens on the windows so your choices are stagnant air or bugs. The staff was very friendly but no English so if you don't speak French, be sure to download google translate app. It was a cool place but I would not return.
