It was so lovely to have time in someone's home. The room was beautiful, clean, spacious and had everything we could need and more. Koko helped us with food recommendations and plans. We hardly saw the other members of the family, except the cheeky cats who loved to sneak in the room to look for treats which Koko conveniently supplied 😂 If having a cat jump on your lap now and again isn't your idea of a holiday, then it might not be for you! Koko made us dinner which was great after a long day of travel. Breakfast was lovely and lots of choices. So nice to see how people live and have an open window!

I do not even know where to start, as there is so much to say about Koko’s place ! First of all, Koko is an incredible host, as she somehow manages to make you feel at home in a country more than 8,000 km from yours. I stayed at her place for a week before finding a home in Chengdu, and I could not have expected such a wonderful welcome. From the help she is willing to give you about any problem you encounter, to all the knowledge and recommandations she is sharing with you about Chengdu, Sichuan, and China, it really makes your trip unforgettable. Moreover, the stay that Koko offers is a true BnB experience, which is definitely becoming extremely rare ! You are immersed in a lovely Sichuanese home, with a variety of extremely delicious local food home-made by Koko, and a very warm and welcoming space all around the house, with all the appliances you need, and plenty of relaxing spaces. Regarding the bedroom, everything was perfect, with a very comfortable bed, a large closet, a practical desk, an air-conditioner, and very lovely and warm decorations. Moreover, the bathroom was also well-equipped and practical, with Koko making sure that you have everything you need at your disposal. Finally, I would also like to mention Koko’s family, which are extremely caring, open to discussion despite our language barrier, and, of course, the lovely animals, from the very sweet cats 小灰 and 小黑, to the magnificent birds and fishes. If you are considering this stay in Chengdu, I am begging you to trust me and book Koko’s place. You will thank yourself later, as this is probably the best stay in this beautiful city.
