I came to Uger House as a complete stranger, but I left with the feeling that I was saying goodbye to family.
Of course, the room itself is excellent clean, comfortable, modern, quiet and everything you could want after a long day in Seminyak. The location is also great: tucked away in a peaceful residential area, while still being close to everything you need in Seminyak.
But honestly, that’s not what I will remember most about Uger House.
What makes this place special is the people. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a warmth and genuine kindness that you simply don’t get everywhere. The hosts went far beyond what you would normally expect from a guesthouse. They were always happy to help, have a conversation, share a laugh, or make sure I was doing alright, without ever making it feel forced or intrusive.
During my stay, it stopped feeling like I was staying at a guesthouse and started feeling like I was staying with people I had known for much longer. That is a rare thing when you’re travelling, especially when you’re travelling alone.
There are plenty of beautiful places to stay in Bali. What is much harder to find is a place where you feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Uger House is one of those places.
I arrived as a stranger and left feeling like family. That is something I will genuinely carry with me from my time in Bali.
Once again, thank you Dewa and Agung (and Casy🐶), for making my stay so much more than just a place to sleep. I hope I get the chance to come back one day.

The hosts were an absolute delight. So friendly and welcoming and even made me dinner one night. They made me feel like we were old friends. Always there if I needed them but never intruded.
Would definitely recommend to anyone and stay again. The Aircon is brand new and ice cold. New TV and brand new bathroom. Arrived to it being operating theatre levels of cleanliness. Which isn’t always the norm in Bali. So very impressed!

El alojamiento esta buenísimo, los dueños nos atendieron excelente, son super amables y nos enseñaron cosas de su cultura. Charlas muy bonitas. Buen aire acondicionado, limpio, la habitación esta genial, nos quedamos una semana y nos sirvió para descansar bien. Esta en una zona muy buena, cerca de todo, comodo si venís del aeropuerto. El alojamiento queda en un pasillo lo cual aísla el sonido intenso de las motos, es un oasis!!
