I had previously stayed in another apartment on the 8th floor with the same host, and this time I stayed in the 1st-floor apartment. Once again, I had a very comfortable and relaxing stay.
The apartment has a nice view of the harbor. I really enjoyed having coffee on the balcony in the morning and a cold beer there in the evening. There is a coffee machine that grinds whole beans and makes fresh coffee, and the beer glasses are even kept chilled in the freezer. These thoughtful little details made the stay even more enjoyable.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, and the shower had excellent water pressure. The toilet is equipped with a bidet seat, and the queen-size bed was very comfortable. I was in Otaru for work, but it was a wonderful place to relax after a long day.
The kitchen is very well equipped and has almost everything you need for cooking. I also appreciated that Japanese rice was provided in the refrigerator. Parking can be arranged nearby if you reserve it in advance.
Mt. Tengu Ski Resort is very close, and Kiroro, Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort, and Niseko are all within about a 90-minute drive by rental car. This would make the apartment a great base for a ski trip as well. Instead of paying the higher prices at the ski resorts, I would recommend enjoying dinner in Otaru, where there are many good restaurants and the seafood is especially fresh.
Overall, I was very happy with the cleanliness, facilities, location, and comfort of the apartment. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Otaru.

大型バイクで滞在したので、砂利と急な坂道の駐車場は無理でした。

設備齊全，有洗衣機，微波爐，曬衣架，NETFLIX，甚至還有準備冰爪，屋主提供接送非常貼心。房子外有個捷徑斜坡到主街道上，距離很近，但是如果有長輩或腿腳不方便還是覺得吃力。

The host was excellent and was waiting outside for us right as we arrived; she gave us good information about the surrounding area in addition to showing us the unit. It was a great cozy spot close to everything in Otaru, with lots of amenities to cook or do laundry. Didn't see this mentioned in other reviews but this unit had the best water pressure I have ever seen in Japan.
Like others have mentioned the unit is up a steep hill but we had a car rental so it was not an issue, still something to keep in mind if you are planning on walking around the area mainly.
