Beautiful rooms, well appointed and maintained. Excellent staff - could not do enough for you, always with a smile and greeting. Great location - short walk to beach, restaurants and shops but such a peaceful retreat. Lovely little restaurant/bar, with larger sister property on the beach with excellent restaurant.

African Bungalows is a stunning place located just 6 minutes walking distance from the beach. If you look for a quiet place to rest from noisy Nungwi - look no further ! I could spend all day by the relaxing poolside surrounded by a beautiful jungle style garden and listening to the sound of birds. While staying here I didn’t really want to go outside - I felt too good in this place! People who work there are extremely kind and friendly - they will help you with all your special requests. Rooms are very comfortable with big bathroom and private terraces. Not mentioning the food - it’s delicious! Great selection of meals plus drinks. It’s a perfect place to stay and if I’m back to Zanzibar I will definetly stay in African Bungalows again !

All the staff was super nice, willing to help with organizing any activity, and there was someone available at all hours. The breakfast was also very good, the best we had in Zanzibar! We had a late flight back and were accomodated in the best possible way to end our stay comfortably regardless. Thank you to all staff 😊
