A comfortable bed in a nicely appointed room with a clean en suite shower and toilet just as described in their booking page. Staff were very friendly and helpful and there was sufficient free parking on site. Belper is well located for Derwent Valley history - not much more than 30 minutes from most attractions. Despite the very minor points for potential improvements below, don't be put off. These rooms are tastefully decorated and appointed in such a good location that all in all it is very good value.

The very British Mira shower in the en suite gave a typically light stream of water. Although it was more or less adequate it would be so much better to have a genuinely powerful shower. It would also be great if a continental breakfast could be provided although we found an excellent local cafe for this just short walk away. Neither points are massively important though.
