I wasn't comfortable with the requirement to upload extensive personal information into an unknown system before getting an access code but this was eventually resolved.

It was easy - we were sent a code for key pad the day before so was perfect as our friends arrived before us. The house was very spacious and comfortable beds with a beautiful view over the lake. We were down for a wedding so weren't there a lot but would definitely come back.
Think it was just confusing cos I kept getting messages from BCR and had been scammed on this booking in December so wasn't sure if it was legit to start with as grammar not perfect. Would have preferred just to deal with the home owners or booking.com direct. Also had to remove rubbish which was slightly annoying with a full car and driving back to Chch.

Absolutely everything! The house was so warm, spacious, clean. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels provided. Cannot fault anything!
Would thoroughly recommend.
The views were amazing.
Nothing!!

Location was brilliant - close to the lake, wonderful vista of the hills and mountains, access to bike track excellent.
House was VERY spacious.
Neighbours were friendly.
Able to use sea kayak after asking BCR.
There was no welcome guide that provided detailed instructions on what to do e.g. what to do with rubbish, if we run out
of amenities - like dish washing liquid.
The garage door did not open and we had to ring BCR for someone to come and fix the issue.
We paid a considerable amount of $$ for this stay and expected a higher standard of communication - important to note there was some electronic communication via email for general guidelines but the important details like listed above need to be included.
It also felt more like how much $$ can be made out of us staying (offering extras for more $$) rather than how can we make it the most enjoyable stay.
NB: Having said this, Renee, our contact from BCR, was VERY helpful remedying the issues raised.
We would recommend that there is air conditioning installed as the house was uncomfortably warm/hot - even with doors open to allow the air through. There was an air conditioning panel on the lounge wall but we struggled to make it work - unsure if this works at all - again some instructions would have been helpful (We have a/c at home and know how that works!).
