Beautiful apartment ( Superior) overlooking Syros Port, 5 mins walk. Very entertaining to watch the Ferries, Cruise Ships and Yachts coming and going, extremely busy port. There was a restaurant and coffee shop underneath, which were both very busy, but from once doors were closed in apartment there was no noise. Bed was really comfortable and loads of storage space. We arrived early and the cleaning lady happened to be there and gave us our keys which we were very grateful for. Supermarket, loads of restaurants and bars nearby. Syros is a lovely island with plenty of lovely beaches.
There are 30+ steps up to the apartment so not suitable for anyone with mobility or arthritic issues. There are no facilities for heating food, perhaps a hob or microwave would be helpful for guests who choose apartments over hotel rooms, and expect this facility. Also, it would be nice if there was a bottle of water in fridge for guests on arrival as well as a map of Syros and some brochures on car hire etc. which Iam sure guests do leave behind as well as laundry detergent(well this has been our experience from the other islands which we visited) We stayed 6 nights and our room wasn't serviced until 4th day! We had no communication with our host!
