I liked the host's honesty and professionalism the most!
The location is good in that you are very close to Omonia and Syntagma Squares, and the city center is nearby.
Chilling on the terrace in the evening is quite relaxing.
The neighborhood, however, is not the safest (based on personal experience and suggestions from friends who live in Athens), so if you are coming to the apartment late at night, it's better to take a taxi.

Spotlessly clean, cutely decorated flat with a huge roof terrace in Omonia. Host was very responsive and friendly and had thoughtfully provided a couple of welcome drinks in the fridge which was a really nice touch. I was working for a few days in Athens and the wifi was superfast and reliable. Lovely roof terrace. Close to Omonia metro for travel and to the fun bars and restaurants of Exarchaeia. It is absolutely true as others have pointed out that Omonia is a "gritty" area but the (very fair) price reflects this. I would definitely stay here again - it had everything I needed to live and work in Athens for a few days.
Very minor ask but would have been good to know the hot water was inside a cupboard and had to be manually turned on - I did figure it out but not for the first couple of days which meant cold showers. Maybe a one page welcome note would work for this? Also no a/c in the bedroom - a standing fan would have been great for this.

The host's kindness has been amazing from the very beginning. We were able to check in early without any issues, and everything in the apartment was exactly as shown in the listing. There was even a gift waiting for us in the fridge!
We will definitely be back to enjoy the peace and quiet of that wonderful terrace.
